Celebrating 40 years of contemporary Korean art

The ongoing exhibition “Beginning of New Era” celebrates the 40th anniversary of the National Museum of Contemporary Art at the future site of the Seoul Museum of Contemporary Art in Sogyeok-dong. The exhibition comprises works by 58 artists from different genres. On display are pieces by prominent artists, emerging artists, architects, designers, craftspeople, and even film directors.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: Art Museum Project, Space Transformation, and Documentary Project. Musicians playing traditional and modernized versions of Korean music are also performing during the event.

This exhibition will run to December 6 and is free to the public.
