The movie of the month for July will be the King and the Clown. It takes place during the Joseon Dynasty and tells the story of two entertainers who are arrested for treason for their performances that mock the powerful king. This movie was a sleeper hit in Korea in 2005, with 1/4 of the population going to see it despite there being no big name actors in the movie. The costumes, cinematography, and great acting all combine to make this a very enjoyable portrayal of life in the royal courts of the Joseon Dynasty.
